While her earliest years were spent in Nashville, Sarah McCall was raised in northwest Arkansas. She returned to Tennessee in 2021 and now lives in Knoxville. Sarah has a Master of Public Health with a concentration in behavioral health and is a Certified Health Education Specialist. 

For over a decade, Sarah supported youth and family services, harm reduction outreach and prevention programming. Prior to becoming a substance use response consultant with the UT IPS SMART Initiative, Sarah led prevention, harm reduction, and recovery initiatives and served on task forces as the alcohol and other drug coordinator at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. 

As a substance use response consultant, Sarah is excited to provide cities and counties across East Tennessee with technical assistance to leverage opioid settlement funds and improve local substance use disorder continuums of care in meaningful, effective and sustainable ways.
