Martha Kelley

Martha Kelley serves as a performance improvement consultant, focusing on process improvement projects. She also consults with business, non-profit, medical and educational organizations. Her areas of expertise include continuous quality improvement, delivering quality service, team training, hiring the best and leadership development.
Some of her projects include facilitating the Physician Leadership College of the Tennessee Medical Association, conducting teamwork and supervisory training for the Army Corps of Engineers and serving as a consultant in strategic planning and change management for the Center for Nonprofit Management. She also has advised and continues to facilitate updates for the strategic planning processes at the East Tennessee College of Pharmacy, Anderson University and Hardin Simmons University. She developed a centralized training plan for the Vanderbilt University Medical Center and served as project manager for the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence annual conference.
Kelley worked with Rhodes College as they re-engineered student services using continuous improvement principles. Her duties included fostering teamwork, teaching classes in facilitation, customer service and strategic planning, as well as working with staff in process improvement and their own professional development.
Previously she served as director of executive learning networks at Belmont University’s Center for Professional Development. She designed programs and coordinated and directed professional development opportunities for various corporate and government groups, including senior leadership teams. Her work facilitating the operational phase of Belmont’s innovative “Belmont Central,” a one-stop student service center, contributed to the university winning the 1997 RIT/USA Today Award for exceptional teamwork.
She is a summa cum laude graduate of Middle Tennessee State University in speech communications and completed her master’s degree in psychology from the same institution. She is an active participant and presenter in numerous professional organizations.
