Channie Cretsinger

Channie Cretsinger is an East Tennessee native and a proud alumna of the University of Tennessee. She began her journey with the SMART Initiative as a graduate intern while completing her Master’s in Public Health with a focus on health policy and management. 

With over two years of experience at SMART, Channie has played a pivotal role in the development and ongoing support of the organization's technical assistance program for local governments. A key aspect of her work includes monitoring settlement statuses and payments, ensuring local communities stay informed as they plan and implement programs to address the ongoing overdose crisis. 

Channie also oversees the execution of multiple recovery ecosystem projects, empowering community stakeholders to assess their existing systems and identify critical areas for investment. Her efforts are dedicated to reaching underserved populations and fostering effective solutions for those in need.
